I don’t think I’ve ever put myself on record for making a technology prediction, so here is my first, and it’ll be a bold one:
Facebook’s long term future is limited *if* it continues to evolve into a platform (and by extension, a commodity). The world will evolve towards using tools which know little about you except what social networking platforms you participate in. I may care what my friends are doing, but I’m entirely ambivalent as to whether or not updates come via Facebook, Twitter, a blog, etc.
